Preservation - Majestic Tree Care Specialists

Tree preservation (“saving your trees from dying”) is what we enjoy doing the most.  Trees that are highly valued are good candidates for preservation.

A tree may be valuable to you for many reasons such as:

  • Large size
  • Beautiful appearance
  • Historical significance
  • Location (shades your house, etc.)
  • Frames a view
  • Part of a grouping

Sometimes trees are in desperate need of treatment and their owners are totally unaware. We can help by evaluating your trees to determine their needs, if any, and advise you on a plan of action.

Many trees in the urban landscape suffer from damage caused by construction.  Sometimes the damage can be tolerated and the tree survives. Many trees suffering from construction damage can be successfully treated. Unfortunately some trees cannot; eventually become hazardous or die.

Broken branches/limbs can seriously compromise a trees structural integrity. Usually this occurs during storm events and can be an indicator or the cause of structural weaknesses of the tree. It's very important to have your high value trees evaluated by an arborist after such occurrences. Click here for more information on storm damaged trees.

It is best to treat trees proactively by planning in advance of construction to help reduce the severity of damage. Trees damaged by construction can be treated so they live a longer life while minimizing risk.

Some services we provide for tree preservation include:

  • Cabling
  • Bracing
  • Pruning
  • Insect control
  • Disease control
  • Fertilization
  • Mulching
  • Vertical Mulching
  • Construction protection
  • Planning
  • Lightning protection
  • Root collar excavation
  • Girdling or circling root management
  • Watering
  • Growth reduction
  • Nothing sometimes there is nothing to do

We strive to take the most reasonable course of action.  This results in reduced treatments, minimize use of pesticides, long term reduction in costs and ultimately healthier trees.
